Looking for a psychologist can be overwhelming. Please take a deep breath and remember you are doing the best that you can in a difficult situation. You have made the important first step of reaching out for help. I am a Registered Psychologist with a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. I have ten years of experience providing therapeutic services to adults and groups. I believe that together we can work to create change and enable you to grow in a meaningful way.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. It is about genuinely connecting with the other person in order to help facilitate change. I focus on creating a safe space where people can look inside themselves and make the changes that they need in their lives. It is important for my clients to feel a connection and to feel supported. Therapy isn’t always comfortable, it can be hard work, but I have seen people grow in amazing ways when they take the time to focus on themselves.
I work within a Person-Centered orientation, but I bring in a number of different approaches and techniques into therapy. I want to find out what works best for my clients, as one size does not fit all. Therefore, I work from a collaborative and flexible place. No one is the expert on your life except you, I am here to help guide and journey alongside you. It is a time set aside to focus on you and how we can work together to make the changes you want to see. If you have any questions about my services or would like to set up a free 15 minute telephone consultation, please do not hesitate to contact me.
